Working Principle:
01 When a locomotive needs to be steered, the locomotive driver slowly drives the locomotive onto the bearing platform of the turntable, and tries to align the center of gravity of the locomotive with the center of the turntable as closely as possible to ensure the smoothness of the steering process.
02 At this time, the operator starts the driving system through the control system in the control room. The motor is powered on and starts to run. The output power is decelerated and the torque is increased by the speed reducer, and then transmitted to the driving gear at the edge of the turntable through the transmission chain.
03 The driving gear drives the turntable platform to rotate around the central pivot, and the locomotive rotates together with the turntable.
04 The operator precisely controls the rotation speed and stop position of the turntable according to the angle by which the locomotive needs to be steered. When the turntable rotates to the predetermined angle and the steering of the locomotive is completed, the operator stops the driving system, and the locomotive driver can then drive the locomotive off the turntable and head to the designated location for subsequent maintenance and other operations.
