AGV Solves Auto Parts Factory Handling Issues
Production Dilemma:
A large automotive parts factory was facing challenges with low handling efficiency and high track installation costs between storage and production lines. Traditional handling equipment, limited by tracks, lacked the flexibility to accommodate multi-area component transfers. Furthermore, frequent failures in the high temperature production environment severely impacted production.
Solution:
The introduction of a trackless, maintenance-free, battery powered AGV, utilizing a 3500*1200*1500mm cast steel frame and a McLennan drive system, enabled fully automated transfers from storage to production lines.
The core advantage of this AGV lies in its modular design:
AGV with a removable, customizable bracket, it perfectly adapts to round, square, and other custom-shaped molds.
The maintenance free battery is compact and can be charged at any time with a portable charging station, eliminating the need for distance limits. A battery display monitors the remaining battery level in real time, eliminating the challenges of traditional cable power supply.
The Mecanum wheel enables 360° rotation on the spot, minimizing aisle width to just 2.5 meters, making it easy to navigate narrow workshop aisles.
Application:
The wired handle, PLC coding control system, and LED display achieve docking accuracy of ±2mm, reducing single-time loading and unloading time from 18 minutes to 5 minutes. Safety edges and audible and visual warning lights provide dual protection.
Its flexible adaptability is particularly suitable for flexible production scenarios involving high variety, small batch production.
