45 Tons Battery Rail Transfer Cart for Heavy Duty Mold Handling

Production Challenge
A large-scale mold manufacturing plant faces difficulties in transporting heavy molds across workshops. Traditional forklift transport is limited by load capacity and ground conditions, while manual hoisting and transfer methods suffer from low efficiency and significant safety risks. Frequent mold handling requires overcoming challenges such as high temperature workshop environments, long distance transportation, and precise positioning.

Solution
Based on the customer's actual usage requirements and the factory production environment, we designed and manufactured a 45 tons battery powered rail transfer cart for them.
The transfer cart features a boxgirder frame and caststeel wheels, operating on rails to ensure stable movement along straight and curved paths from the workshop to the plant area. It is equipped with wireless remote control and a laser dead man stop system, enabling remote operation by a single person. An audible and visual warning light, emergency stop button, and batterylevel display form a triple safety system. The cart automatically alerts when the battery level drops below 20%, and a portable charger allows onthespot charging to support long time production.

Application
In the production workshop, operators start the equipment via wireless remote control. The flat platform aligns precisely with hoisting equipment, while the laser dead man stop system continuously monitors a 5 meters warning zone, triggering an instant emergency stop upon detecting obstacles. Once the mold is secured, the transfer begins. The caststeel wheels move steadily along the rails at an adjustable speed (0–20 m/min). Upon reaching the docking  position, the hoisting operation is repeated to complete safe unloading.
