Customized 20 Tons Rail Transfer Cart for Material Handling
Production Challenges
A large, modern manufacturing enterprise has long faced two major pain points when implementing cross-workshop material handling: First, traditional railcars are limited by cables or conductor rails, restricting their operating distance and making it difficult to achieve long distance shuttles between multiple workshops; second, the materials to be transported can reach 20 tons, and ordinary transfer carts deform due to insufficient frame strength, and their excessive height prevents them from being level with the workshop floor, posing significant safety hazards during loading and unloading.

Solution
To address the enterprise's specific needs, we customized a 20 tons battery powered rail transfer cart:
Unrestricted Distance: Powered by high-performance battery packs, eliminating cable constraints and enabling unrestricted movement throughout the plant.
Customized Structure: Precisely customized dimensions of 4000 x 2200 x 700mm, featuring a robust box-girder frame and cast steel wheels, providing superior load-bearing capacity without deformation, and a height level with the workshop floor.
Intelligent Safety Configuration: The rail transfer cart equipped with dual-mode control via wireless remote and wired handle, with flexible speed adjustment from 0-30m/min; integrated with audible and visual warning lights, a power display screen, and an emergency stop button, providing a robust safety barrier.

Advantages
Unrestricted Operation: Battery powered, eliminating cable distance limitations, allowing for unrestricted movement across workshops and factories.
Safe and Environmentally Friendly: Pure electric drive with zero emissions and low noise, improving the workshop working environment; emergency stop button, audible and visual warning lights, and dual control modes (wireless remote and wired handle) provide multi-dimensional safety assurance.
Convenient Operation: The power display screen monitors remaining battery power in real time, allowing for advance charging planning and preventing power outages from impacting production.
Applications
Operators use the wireless remote to control the cart's start, stop, acceleration, and deceleration from a safe distance. Upon arrival at the station, they switch to the wired handle for precise close-range positioning. The platform height is flush with the workshop floor; during loading and unloading, hydraulic pallet jacks directly push materials onto the platform for immediate movement, eliminating the need for overhead cranes and significantly freeing up overhead crane resources, achieving full utilization of space.
