10 Tons Steerable Transfer Cart for Transformer Handling
Production Challenge
The company primarily manufactures medium-sized power transformers. The distance between its final assembly workshop and the finished product temporary storage area is considerable, crossing multiple internal roads. Previously, rail transfer carts were used for transportation, which required extensive track installation, resulting in fixed routes that could not be altered. Additionally, the fixed transportation paths forced other logistics vehicles in the workshop to frequently yield, severely impacting overall operational efficiency.
Solution
Based on the customer's requirements and the actual application scenario, we designed and manufactured this 10 tons battery powered trackless transfer cart.
The cart features a high strength cast steel spliced frame, offering strong load-bearing capacity to easily handle the heavy weight of transformers. Equipped with polyurethane wheels, it is not only wear resistant but also heat-resistant, ensuring stable operation even in high temperature workshop environments.
The cart enables flexible steering and in-situ rotation, completely eliminating the constraints of tracks. With wireless remote control, operators can stay away from heavy duty areas and safely execute commands such as forward movement, reversing, and speed adjustment.

Safety and Intelligence:Transfer cart equipped with laser sensors (3 meters range) linked to an emergency stop button, the cart immediately halts upon encountering obstacles. A warning light provides real-time alerts in the work area.

Application
In operation, the trackless transfer cart receives assembled transformers from the final assembly workshop and, controlled via wireless remote, smoothly moves out of the workshop, crosses the factory roads, and directly transports the transformers to the finished product testing center located at a distance. The polyurethane wheels provide excellent shock absorption and heat resistance, ensuring the safe transport of transformers over complex road surfaces.
With the implementation of this trackless transfer cart, the company has completely resolved the operational constraints caused by track limitations, increasing heavy load transportation efficiency by over 40%. The flexible routing not only optimizes the factory logistics flow but also eliminates the interference of tracks with ground traffic.
