Production Challenge
A copper processing enterprise faced significant challenges in handling heavy copper coils. Traditional forklifts suffered from low efficiency and poor safety during heavy load transportation, while rail-based transfer equipment was restricted by fixed routes and unable to flexibly switch between multiple workshops and areas.
Additionally, equipment operating in high temperature environments was prone to frequent failures, severely impacting production efficiency.

Solution
Based on the customer's actual needs and operating conditions, we designed and manufactured a 16 tons lithium battery powered rail guided vehicle (RGV).
The vehicle features a box-beam frame and a customized platform, ensuring robust structural strength for heavy load applications.
To address the challenge of inter-workshop transfer, the RGV is designed to work in conjunction with embedded turntables, enabling seamless switching between different rail lines and achieving smooth transitions from the rolling mill to the warehouse and subsequent processes.

The RGV is equipped with cast steel wheels, offering high wear resistance and adaptability to high temperature environments. It incorporates a wireless remote control and an intelligent coded control system, allowing operators to dispatch the vehicle remotely and precisely control its start and stop functions. For enhanced safety, the RGV is fitted with a laser dead man stop, emergency stop button, and audible and visual alarms. Real-time operational status, including power levels, is displayed on an LED screen, ensuring safe operation around the clock.

Application
During copper coil handling tasks, workers send commands via a wireless remote control, and the RGV automatically moves to the rolling mill outlet, where its V-shaped frame precisely picks up the coil. When inter-workshop transfer is required, the vehicle moves onto an embedded turntable, which rotates to adjust its direction. The RGV then continues along the new track, ultimately delivering the copper coil safely to the next workstation. The entire process operates smoothly and efficiently without manual intervention.
