2 MT Explosion Proof RGV for Heavy Mold Transportation

Production Challenge
A large manufacturing enterprise's production workshop long faced the challenge of low efficiency in mold transportation. Traditional transport methods relying on forklift operations were plagued not only by limited load capacity and high transfer frequency but also by stringent demands on equipment stability due to the high temperature working environment.

Solution
Based on the customer's usage requirements and actual application conditions, we designed and manufactured this 2 tons cable drum powered Rail Guided Vehicle (RGV).
The vehicle utilizes a box girder-beam frame structure, featuring a customized top surface with pre-drilled mounting holes for molds, accommodating the rapid positioning needs of various molds. The vehicle body is equipped with cast steel wheels to enhance wear resistance and load capacity, and it supports wireless remote control for flexible and convenient operation. To address the high temperature environment, an explosion proof housing and audible and visual warning lights are specially incorporated to ensure operational safety.

Application
Following the equipment's deployment, the enterprise achieved automated integration in its mold handling process. By following a preset rail, the RGV enables precise docking between various workstations within the workshop. With one-button remote control operation, transportation waiting times are significantly reduced.
The audible and visual warning and emergency stop devices effectively ensure safety during human-machine collaboration, while the LED display and control system integration enables real-time monitoring of the operating status.
The successful application of this RGV has helped the enterprise achieve cost reduction and efficiency gains in heavy load transport, resolving the transportation bottleneck in a high temperature, heavy load environment. Operational time is no longer a constraint, and the production line's responsiveness has been notably improved.
