In heavy duty mold manufacturing workshops, individual molds often weigh over ten tons. Overhead cranes have a fixed lifting range, resulting in blind spots. Forklifts face limitations in their lifting positions when handling irregularly shaped, heavy molds. Whenever molds need to be moved between workshops, multiple forklifts must be coordinated, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of collisions.

Solution

Based on the customer's actual application needs and operating environment, Newld customized a 20 tonne battery powered remote control trackless transfer cart.

• Trackless Steering: The trackless transfer cart uses polyurethane wheels, allowing it to turn in place and travel along any curve, completely eliminating the limitations of tracks and overhead cranes. It can flexibly navigate narrow passages and complex obstacle courses.
• Heavy Duty Direct Drive: The cast steel frame has a rated load capacity of 20 tons. Molds can be directly lifted and positioned without secondary forklift handling or manual prying adjustments, achieving precise positioning in a single transfer.
• Safety Guaranteed: Laser obstacle avoidance sensors scan for obstacles in the direction of travel in real time. Combined with audible and visual warning lights and an emergency stop button, the cart automatically decelerates or brakes during operation. The driver only needs to focus on route selection, eliminating the need for frequent blind spot checks.

Applications

In practical applications, operators only need to check the battery level in advance via the battery display screen, use the remote control to move the trackless transfer cart to the mold storage area, and after securing the mold, they can plan any route to the target production line. If temporary obstacles are encountered, the route can be changed at any time, covering the mold transfer needs of different workstations and areas within the workshop.

No additional manpower is required throughout the process. Newld can also adjust details such as the cart's turning radius and the anti-slip design of the platform according to the customer's workshop layout to perfectly suit the customer's personalized operating scenario.
