40 Tons Battery Trackless Transfer Cart for Mold Handling in Workshop
Production Challenge
At a large scale equipment manufacturing facility, frequent transportation of heavy workpieces, molds, and materials was required. Traditional handling relied on rail guided carts and manual coordination, which not only incurred high track installation costs and long modification cycles but also suffered from fixed route limitations. This setup hindered flexible access to different areas for crane equipment and posed difficulties in navigating narrow passages.

Solution
Based on the customer’s specific requirements and production layout, we designed and manufactured the 40 tons battery powered trackless transfer cart. The cart features a cast steel welded frame and a flat platform surface to support heavy molds. Equipped with polyurethane wheels and a trackless design, it eliminates the need for fixed tracks, with a minimum turning radius of 3 meters for agile maneuvering in confined workshop spaces. Controlled via a wireless remote and integrated with a laser dead man stop system (with a 5 meters monitoring zone), a single operator can manage the entire workflow, while the battery level display provides real-time energy status updates.

Advantages
Heavy Duty Flexibility: With a rated load capacity of 40 tons, it is ideal for heavy molds. The trackless design eliminates the cost of track installation and increases space utilization by 45%.
Environmental Adaptability: Transfer cart designed to withstand temperatures from -20℃ to 60℃ and equipped with wear resistant polyurethane wheels, the cart reduces equipment failure rates to below 5%, making it suitable for complex working conditions.
Safety Assurance: The dual protection system integrates laser dead man stop and emergency stop buttons, complemented by audible and visual warning lights and indicator lights, enabling real-time operational visibility and immediate braking.

Application
The operator starts the cart via wireless remote control, aligning the flat platform with the crane equipment for loading. The laser dead man stop system continuously monitors the surrounding environment. Once the mold is secured, the polyurethane wheels drive the vehicle at speeds ranging from 0 to 20 m/min, with audible and visual warning lights and indicators flashing simultaneously.
Upon reaching the production line, the emergency stop button ensures safe braking. The entire process requires no manual assistance, significantly improving the efficiency of individual transfer operations.
This product eliminates the complexities of track installation, achieving an intelligent transport model characterized by "trackless flexibility, heavy duty precision, and safe efficiency." It provides core support for heavy manufacturing enterprises in overcoming challenges such as "limited space, difficult heavy load transportation, and high operational costs."
