8 Tons Motorized Rail Transfer Cart with Turntable at The Construction Site
Operational Challenge
At the construction site, achieving efficient transportation faced two major issues: first, fixed rail directions made it impossible to flexibly connect different production lines; second, heavy duty workpieces (6 to 8 tons) required frequent hoisting and track switching during cross-area transfers, resulting in low efficiency and potential safety hazards.

Solution
Based on the client’s operational needs and actual working conditions, we designed and manufactured an 8 tons motorized rail transfer cart powered by a low voltage rail system.
The system utilizes a ground control cabinet to step down the current, with carbon brushes and conductive columns ensuring efficient and safe power transmission.
The core configuration includes a 360° embedded turntable, enabling flexible longitudinal and transverse movement and seamless connection between different tracks, thereby breaking the limitations of single-track operation.
Additionally, the rail transfer cart is equipped with insulated wheels to prevent electric shock, wireless remote control for ease of operation, and audible-visual warning lights plus emergency stop buttons for dual-layer safety protection.

Advantages
Flexible Connectivity: The turntable system eliminates directional constraints of rails, allowing "one cart to cover multiple lines" across the workshop.
Heavy-Duty Stability: Continuous low voltage rail power supply ensures unrestricted operation, smooth movement under 8-ton loads, and the flexibility to adjust the number of carts according to handling needs, meeting varying workflow demands.
Safety and Intelligence: A three tiers protection system composed of audible-visual warnings, emergency stop buttons, and insulated wheels, complemented by wireless remote control for operator-cart separation.
Durability in Harsh Conditions: Cast steel structure offers high temperature resistance and wear resistance, suitable for complex environments such as welding workshops.

Application
During handling operations, this cart successfully replaced traditional rail transfer carts. Operators control cart movement via wireless remote, while the 360° embedded turntable precisely aligns with both horizontal and vertical tracks.
Insulated wheels run smoothly on low voltage rails, eliminating electric shock risks. Audible-visual warning lights continuously alert surrounding personnel, and emergency stop buttons allow immediate operation suspension.
The ground control cabinet provides real-time voltage reduction and stable power distribution. After implementation, single-trip transport time was reduced from 15 minutes to 8 minutes, and labor costs decreased by 30%.
