Customized 5 Tons Remote Control Rail Transfer Cart
Production Challenges
A large automotive parts manufacturer's stamping production line required frequent changes to 5-ton steel molds. The previously used wired power supply railcars, limited by cable length and the physical constraints of the sliding contact line layout, could not travel long distances, significantly hindering overall flexible production efficiency.
Solution
Based on the client's needs and actual application environment, we customized a 5 tons battery powered rail transfer cart. This cart breaks free from traditional power supply constraints, featuring a smart portable charger for the battery, truly enabling continuous operation without distance limitations.
The transfer cart body utilizes a highly rigid box-beam frame and a flat platform, capable of supporting heavy duty molds. It integrates a dual control system of wireless remote control and wired handle. Customized rail lines adapt to the production line layout and can also be integrated into the workshop PLC control system for intelligent scheduling.

Advantages
- Unlimited Range, Intelligent Central Control: The core breakthrough of this model lies in its successful integration with the company's existing PLC control system. The control center can monitor cart trajectory, remaining battery power, and other key data in real time via a dual display screen featuring onboard LEDs and a battery level indicator.
- Dual Protection, Green And Efficient: Pure electric drive, zero carbon emissions; the cart is equipped with high-decibel audible and visual warning lights and a one-button emergency stop, comprehensively strengthening the safety of workshop ground logistics.

Application
After being put into production, the rail transfer cart mainly undertakes the transportation of large workpieces, materials, and molds between the production workshop and production lines. It can operate stably according to the production rhythm, meeting the needs of continuous multi-shift operations.
The operator can wake up the transfer cart with a single button via wireless remote control. Holding the remote control, the operator drives the cart to the workstation, where the workshop crane lifts and positions the molds;
then, the remote control starts the cart, smoothly driving it along the track to the machining workshop. Upon arrival, the operator makes minor adjustments to the alignment using a handle. The entire process requires no manual pushing or pulling or secondary lifting.
During night shift changes, the cart's operating status and battery level can be checked on the LED display screen for real-time adjustments.
