Industrial 6 Tons Rail Transfer Cart for Material Handling
Production Challenge
In the workshop of a large-scale machinery manufacturing plant, the transfer of heavy workpieces and molds has long relied on fixed-track transfer equipment combined with manual forklifts. This approach not only limits the movement range and requires large turning radii but also necessitates frequent cross-area coordination for loading and unloading, leading to lengthy intermediate processes.
Solution
Based on the customer's actual operational needs and work scenarios, we designed and manufactured this 6 tons hydraulic lifting rail transfer cart with longitudinal and lateral movement capabilities.
Cart powered by a battery for cable free operation, it features a hydraulic lifting platform and a dual-wheel system supporting both longitudinal travel and lateral transfer, easily handling heavy load steering and precise positioning in narrow passages.
The equipment adopts a box-girder frame structure and cast steel wheels, ensuring stable load-bearing capacity and high temperature resistance. Multiple protective features, including an explosion proof enclosure, audible and visual warning lights, and emergency stop buttons, ensure operational safety in high-demand environments.

Application
This rail transfer cart is now used for cross-process transfer of large welding parts and molds within the workshop. On the nearly hundred meters transport route from the high temperature heat treatment zone to the assembly line, the cart's longitudinal and lateral transfer capability enables on-the-spot turning, avoiding the space required for traditional equipment to turn around.
The hydraulic lifting platform adjusts height to match different racks and machines. With a single transfer capacity of up to 5.8 tons, transfer efficiency has increased by approximately 40% compared to previous methods. Operators can control the entire process via wireless remote control, significantly reducing labor intensity and waiting time.
