Industry Material Handling 5 Tons Trackless Steerable Transfer Cart
Production Challenges
A steel structure production workshop needs to frequently transfer steel components between different workstations. The original handling methods were significantly limited by aisles and fixed transport routes, resulting in efficiency constraints when handling steel structures of varying specifications and locations.
Solution
Based on the workshop's transfer needs, Newld customized this 5 tons battery powered trackless steerable transfer cart. Measuring 2300x2000x500mm, it features a cast steel frame and flat platform, suitable for directly supporting various steel structural components.
The cart utilizes both wireless remote control and wired handle control, eliminating the need for ground tracks. Its speed is infinitely adjustable from 0-25m/min, and laser sensors enable automatic deceleration against obstacles, precisely adapting to the complex workshop logistics environment. The trackless steerable transfer cart is battery powered, and a portable charger meets shift recharging needs.

Advantages
- Unrestricted Operation: The trackless steerable transfer cart uses polyurethane wheels, eliminating the need for tracks and cables. This allows for unlimited operating distance and flexible maneuvering.
- Ground-Friendly: Polyurethane wheels are highly wear resistant, do not damage epoxy flooring, have strong load-bearing capacity, and provide a smooth ride.
- Safe and Easy-to-Control: Laser sensing combined with multiple sound and light protection features allows for quick and easy remote control operation, and zero emissions make it more environmentally friendly.
Applications
In steel structure welding and painting workshops, operators can use wireless remote control to smoothly drive the trackless steerable transfer cart, transferring workpieces from one production station to the next.
When encountering different transport directions or temporarily adjusted work routes, the trackless structure reduces the limitations of fixed tracks on the cart's operating range. Large steel components weighing up to 5 tons can be directly delivered to workstations with a designated span, easily completing turns and precise positioning in narrow passages.
