Large Table Steerable Trackless Transfer Cart for Material Handling
Production Challenges
A machinery manufacturing company has long faced challenges in transferring large molds and heavy workpieces in its workshop due to the fixed routes and large turning radii of traditional railcars. Facing narrow passageways and the need for cross-workshop transport, heavy load transfers are inefficient and prone to collisions.
Solution
To address the client's specific needs, Newld customized this 5 tons battery powered steerable trackless transfer cart.
The core features polyurethane wheels with a steering wheel-like structure, enabling 90-degree in-situ turning and allowing for lateral movement to docking stations without turning around, making it suitable for narrow workshop aisles.
The transfer cart uses a high-strength cast steel frame and flat platform, equipped with a large-capacity battery and portable charger, breaking free from the spatial constraints of traditional cables and tracks, allowing for unrestricted operation.

Advantages
- Signature Steering Wheel Structure: The wheel system uses high-wear-resistant polyurethane wheels with a steering wheel-like structure, supporting 90-degree right-angle rotation and in-situ turning. This design significantly reduces the turning radius, allowing even 5-ton heavy-duty equipment to easily perform lateral movement and precise positioning in narrow passages and complex workshops, completely solving the problem of limited space.
- High Efficiency and Environmental Protection: Equipped with a laser obstacle avoidance sensor, emergency stop button, and audible and visual warning lights, it provides comprehensive safety protection; it supports both wireless remote control and wired handle operation modes, combined with a clear battery level display, enabling zero-emission operation and lower carbon footprint.
Applications
After being put into use, the cart is responsible for the rapid dispatching of workpieces, large molds, and parts across workshops within the factory area.
Wireless remote control is convenient and easy for workers to use. The transfer cart's direction can be adjusted according to the site's passageways, and the obstacle avoidance system ensures safe operation in environments where humans and machines share space.
This battery powered steerable trackless transfer cart not only helps customers eliminate the costs and space limitations of track laying but also significantly improves material turnover efficiency in confined spaces, achieving a greener and more flexible upgrade for heavy-duty logistics in the factory area.
