Production Challenges
In a heavy machinery production workshop, the welding production line requires coordination with robotic arms for workpiece transfer and precise alignment. However, the system faces limitations such as restricted operating distance, insufficient turning flexibility, and poor alignment accuracy, which adversely affect welding quality.
Additionally, the high temperature workshop environment frequently leads to equipment malfunctions. Manual operation poses safety risks, the transfer of heavy workpieces is inefficient, and there is pressure to meet environmental compliance standards.

Solution
Based on the customer's operational requirements and the actual application scenario, we have designed and manufactured this 1 ton lithium battery powered trackless AGV.
It features a customized cast steel structure body and an expandable platform, directly integrating the welding robotic arm and its control system. Utilizing a mecanum wheel omnidirectional movement solution, it achieves 360° flexible steering without the need for ground tracks. Equipped with an intelligent encoder control system and dual operating modes, it supports high precision path planning. Multiple layers of active protection,including laser dead man stop, safety bumpers, audible and visual warning lights, and emergency stop buttons,ensure safety in human-machine shared environments.

Application
Operators start the AGV via wireless remote control, with an LED screen displaying battery level and operational status. The robotic arm is fixed onto the customized platform, and the mecanum wheel-driven device travels along preset paths (including 90 degrees turns and S-shaped routes).
This AGV navigates autonomously throughout the workshop between the material area and multiple welding stations. It receives instructions via a wireless communication system to accurately transport components to be welded to the robotic arm's work area.

The laser dead man stop automatically slows down and stops the vehicle when detecting obstacles within 5 meters, while the safety bumpers trigger braking upon slight contact before collision. Operators can temporarily intervene and make adjustments using the remote controller, or the system can automatically execute multi-point cyclic transportation.
With its characteristics of "flexible adaptation, precision, and safety," this AGV has become the ideal choice for robotic arm collaboration in high temperature welding workshops, effectively addressing industry pain points such as "layout constraints, insufficient precision, and high safety risks."
