Production Challenges

A precast component workshop faces challenges due to the large size and weight of PC (polycarbonate) components. Multiple production lines operate in parallel, making cross-line transfer and docking difficult and resulting in insufficient alignment accuracy. Frequent transfers lead to cumbersome equipment operation and inadequate safety features, hindering the overall efficiency of the PC production line.

Solution

To address the client's specific needs, Newld customized this 10 tonne mobile cable powered ferry rail transfer cart:

• Unlimited Continuous Power Supply: Powered by mobile cables, the cart enables 24/7 uninterrupted high-intensity operation, eliminating range anxiety.
• Turntable Docking System: A custom-designed turntable with tracks is installed on the box girder chassis platform. After the transfer cart is moved into position, the turntable precisely rotates and docks with tracks on different production lines, achieving seamless cross-line, traceless transfer of components.
• Safe Operation: The ferry rail transfer cart equipped with cast steel wheels, fixed slots, and dual control modes ,wireless remote control and wired handle, along with an emergency stop button and audible and visual warning lights, ensuring safe operation under heavy loads.

Application

After being put into operation, the ferry rail transfer cart is mainly responsible for the transfer of workpieces between PC production lines:

• Workers use wireless remote control to drive the cart to the docking station. After the turntable track automatically aligns with the production line, the PC workpiece is directly moved horizontally onto the transport vehicle's platform via the track;
• Then the cart drives to the target station, the turntable angle is adjusted to align with the corresponding production line track, and the workpiece can be directly processed online, without the need for hoisting assistance throughout the entire process.
