Production Challenges

The insulation panels in the refrigeration workshop are large and heavy. Traditional handling equipment, limited by cables and tracks, can only operate in fixed areas and cannot handle cross-area transfers from the workshop to the outdoors. Conventional equipment experiences sluggishness and stiff steering under heavy loads, resulting in low transport efficiency and a high risk of panels shifting and slipping.

Solution

Based on the customer's needs, Newld designed this 2 ton battery powered steerable transfer cart. The cart features a cast steel frame and polyurethane wheels, allowing for smooth movement both indoors and outdoors without the need for tracks.

Addressing the large size and slippage risk of the insulation panels, an adjustable baffle is added to the platform for stable fixation. Equipped with both wireless remote control and wired handle dual control modes, workers can start, stop, and steer from a safe distance. Audible and visual warning lights and an emergency stop button provide dual protection, handling complex terrain with ease.

A backup battery pack supports uninterrupted rotation, completely eliminating range anxiety.

After loading the insulation panels, the transfer cart is guided wirelessly by the operator, smoothly navigating narrow workshop aisles and easily completing the transport process from the workshop to the outdoor storage area.
