Production Challenges
A well-known automation control equipment developer faced two major challenges.Firstly, the workshop required frequent and high-frequency transport of heavy workpieces. Traditional battery powered transport carts, could not meet the demands of 24 hours continuous high-intensity operation.
Secondly, precise docking between the transport carts and the gripping robots was required. Ordinary workbenches could not achieve stable locking and positioning of materials, and the production line had extremely high safety standards for on-site operations.
Solution
To address the client's needs for automated docking and high-frequency operation, we customized a 2 tons cable powered rail transport cart.
Continuous Power Supply System: Utilizing high capacity, wear resistant cables for direct power supply, it completely breaks through the limitations of operating time, enabling uninterrupted operation around the clock.
Customized Robot Workbench: The cart body uses a high-strength box-beam frame, and the workbench is specially geometrically customized according to the workpiece interface of the gripping robot, ensuring absolute stability and precise positioning during robotic arm gripping and placement.
Customized Robot Workbench Comprehensive Safety Features: The rail transport cart chassis is equipped with robust cast steel wheels and anti-rollover rail clamps, ensuring extremely smooth operation. It also integrates a laser sensor device, audible and visual warning lights, and an emergency stop button to proactively avoid collision risks.
Dual Control Operation Modes: Cart equipped with both wireless remote control and wired handle systems, allowing operators to flexibly switch between systems depending on workstation changes.

Applications
In the customer's automated production workshop, this rail transport cart plays the role of a "transport vehicle." Once the cart smoothly arrives at the designated workstation, the anti-rollover rail clamps quickly lock it, and the automated gripping robot above the platform precisely docks.
Operators can remotely control the transport cart wirelessly or make fine adjustments using the wired handle next to it. Laser sensors monitor the surrounding environment of the track in real time, automatically stopping the machine upon detecting an obstacle to ensure a safe and secure human-machine collaborative environment.
