Nuclear Plant Material Handling Electric Rail Transfer Cart
Production Challenges
In the daily operation of nuclear power plants, nuclear waste and related transfer containers are typically characterized by their large weight, high transfer frequency, and stringent operating environment requirements. Furthermore, the transportation process demands high levels of stability, safety, and equipment reliability; any interruption will impact the overall production flow.
Solution
Based on the customer's needs and actual application scenarios, we designed and manufactured this 8 tons cable reel powered electric rail transfer cart. This cart features a box-beam frame and flat platform design, coupled with cast steel wheels to ensure stability under heavy loads. Continuous power supply is achieved through a cable reel cable management system, completely eliminating battery life limitations. It also features dual control modes: wireless remote control and wired handle, allowing operators to remotely operate from a safe area. Audible and visual warning lights and an emergency stop button provide comprehensive safety assurance.

Advantages
Unlimited Operation: Utilizing a mature cable reel power supply solution, it is directly connected to the plant's power grid, completely resolving the issue of limited operating time and supporting 24 hours continuous high-frequency operation.
High-Standard Customization: From tabletop dimensions and track gauge to radiation-proof and corrosion-resistant surface treatments, everything is custom-made to a 1:1 scale.
Green and Efficient: Purely electric drive with zero emissions, fully meeting the low-carbon and environmentally friendly clean production requirements of nuclear power plants.

Application
After being put into use, the electric rail transfer cart is deployed in nuclear power plants on dedicated tracks between the nuclear waste storage area and the processing workshop. Operators can complete the entire process of lifting, transferring, and unloading containers using a wireless remote control.
During transfer, the cable reel automatically organizes the cables to prevent tangling and jamming; cast steel wheels smoothly pass through the track joints, ensuring the containers remain level at all times; audible and visual warning lights flash continuously during operation to alert nearby personnel to avoid the area; and the emergency stop button allows for instantaneous emergency stopping to deal with unforeseen circumstances.
