60 Tons Automatic Locking Electric Rail Guided Vehicle
Production Challenges
In the assembly workshop of a large equipment manufacturing company, the transportation of heavy equipment has always been a problem. Traditional handling equipment is limited by battery life, frequently shutting down due to recharging during high-intensity continuous operation; simultaneously, due to the large size and unstable center of gravity of the transported workpieces, even slight displacements are easily caused during track operation.
Solution
Based on the customer's needs and actual application scenarios, we customized this 60 tons cable powered RGV (Rail Guided Vehicle) with a drag chain. The system uses a high-strength box beam frame, and the platform features specially customized anti-roll-off blocks.
The electric rail guided vehicle is equipped with dedicated cast steel wheels and achieves stable power supply through highly flexible cables, drag chains, and fixed slots. The control system integrates both wireless remote control and wired handle modes, and comes standard with audible and visual warning lights and an emergency stop button.
For equipment docking, the vehicle body not only features a customized slope structure, but more importantly, it incorporates automatic locking technology to precisely lock the RGV when it reaches the designated workstation.

Applications
In actual large equipment transportation tasks, operators can control the equipment wirelessly. The cable slides smoothly within the fixed slot along the cable chain, and the electric rail guided vehicle runs smoothly along the track. When carrying large equipment, it can smoothly fit the target platform using a customized slope. The automatic locking triggers and securely locks the vehicle body, working in conjunction with the platform locking blocks to ensure the stability during docking and loading and unloading.
