2.5 Tons Lifting Steerable Automated Guided Vehicle for Material Carrying
Production Challenges
A certain equipment manufacturing company mainly produces large mechanical parts and precision molds. The production process requires frequent transfers of workpieces, materials, and large molds between various workstations. Traditional rail guided transfer carts are limited by track laying constraints, making them unsuitable for the factory's need for flexible multi-workstation transfers. They also suffer from high costs associated with modifying the workshop floor and the inability to adjust routes after completion. The factory urgently needs a flexible, heavy-duty transfer solution to address its production bottlenecks.

Solution
To meet the factory's needs, Newld customized this 2.5 tons lithium battery powered trackless Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). The vehicle adopts a cast steel spliced frame structure, with a custom-designed platform based on mold dimensions, effectively preventing large molds from sliding or shifting during transport. It is equipped with a hydraulic lifting platform for easy integration with tooling and production equipment. It also features laser sensors, safety edge protection, and an audible and visual warning system, supporting wireless remote control, wired handle, and PLC control methods. It can be put into use directly without modifying the workshop floor.

Advantages
- Flexible and Unrestricted Operation: Breaking free from the limitations of traditional track laying, the automated guided vehicle, combined with a steering wheel system, can achieve precise steering and seamless transport in narrow passages.
- Comprehensive Safety Protection: Equipped with laser obstacle avoidance sensors, physical safety edges, audible and visual warning lights, and an emergency stop button, multiple layers of protection ensure the safety of personnel and vehicles in the workshop.
- Clean, Efficient, and Long-Lasting Operation: Powered by lithium batteries and equipped with a portable charger, it produces no exhaust emissions, meeting the demands of green factories.
Applications
In daily operations, the automated guided vehicle directly enters the mold storage area, smoothly receiving molds via a hydraulic lifting platform, with side blocking devices quickly securing the materials; then, according to workshop scheduling, it smoothly moves between processing stations to complete material unloading and reciprocating cycles.
