30 Tons Electric Railway Turntable for Mold Manufacturing Factory
Production Challenges
In large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing workshops, the cross-area handling of large molds, heavy workpieces, and raw materials heavily relies on rail transport. However, when multiple production lines intersect or face 90 degrees turns, traditional heavy duty rail transfer carts are often limited by their turning radius, leading to difficulties in turning and cross-span docking, among other challenges.
Solution
Based on production needs and actual application scenarios, we designed and manufactured this 30 tons electrically driven railway turntable. This turntable serves as the workshop's "railway hub," featuring a specially added double rail platform that seamlessly connects with the existing rail transfer cart tracks. Once the transfer cart reaches the center of the turntable, the electric drive system precisely rotates the turntable to the designated angle, easily completing a seamless track switch and completely solving the problems of right-angle turns and cross-line transport.

Applications
This 30 tons railway turntable is embedded in the mold production workshop, working in conjunction with multiple rail transport vehicles to undertake the cross-line transfer of large molds, welded parts, and raw materials. The rail transfer carts can quickly switch transport directions via the turntable, achieving continuous flow between multiple workstations and lines, meeting the high frequency transportation needs of workpieces, materials, and large molds within the production workshop.
