30 Tons Rail Transfer Cart for Steel Plant Mobility
Production Challenge
A large steel plant needed to transport heavy steel materials to different production lines within its workshop. However, traditional rail guided transport equipment was restricted to fixed routes and could not switch tracks to connect with different processes. Additionally, the heavy duty transportation efficiency was insufficient to meet daily demands of hundreds of tons.

Solution
Based on the customer's operational needs and actual workshop environment, we designed and supplied a 30 tons battery powered rail transfer cart paired with a 40 tons embedded turntable.
The transfer cart features a box-beam frame for high temperature resistance and cast steel wheels for durability. The embedded turntable enables 360° flexible steering, breaking through route limitations. It supports dual-control via wireless remote and wired handle, allowing operators to switch control methods as needed. Safety and operational continuity are ensured by accessories such as audible and visual warning lights, emergency stop buttons, and a battery level display.

Advantages
Eco-friendly and Efficient: Transfer cart powered by battery for zero emissions, no range limitation, and flexible operation improving transport efficiency by 30%.
Heavy Duty and Stable: 30 tons cart combined with 40 tons turntable meets heavy load requirements; box-beam frame withstands high temperatures.
Precise and Safe: Dual-control mode ensures accurate docking; multiple safety accessories reduce operational risks.
User Friendly: Cart can flexible switching between wireless remote and wired handle adapts to different operational scenarios.

Application
In the steel plant workshop, operators use the wireless remote to control the vehicle loading 20 tons of steel. The transfer cart moves to the embedded turntable, performs a 90° turn, and precisely docks with the downstream production line. The equipment operates stably in high temperature environments, with the battery display providing real-time monitoring of remaining power.
This solution completely resolves route restrictions in heavy load transport, improves docking efficiency by 30%, reduces high temperature failure rates by 80%, and saves 25% in labor costs. It is well-suited for high temperature, heavy duty, and multi-route docking scenarios in steel plants, providing an eco-friendly and efficient intelligent handling solution that supports the smart upgrading of production processes.
