Production Challenges

The handling of abandoned or repaired aircraft has always been a challenging problem in ground operations at large airports. Traditional traction equipment is not only limited by fixed tracks or high maintenance costs, but also suffers from low efficiency and even safety hazards when handling heavy loads of tens of tons due to its large turning radius and inflexible operation, severely limiting the efficiency of scheduling within the limited space of an airport.

Solution

Based on the customer's needs and actual application scenarios, we designed and manufactured this 34 tons battery powered and externally traction dual-drive trackless transfer tractor. The tractor features a robust and durable cast steel frame; it completely eliminates the constraints of tracks, enabling free operation without distance limitations.
The equipment integrates a "dual-drive" and "hydraulic lifting steering wheel system," and is equipped with wireless remote control and laser sensors for safety protection, allowing for instantaneous emergency stops.

Applications

When transporting decommissioned aircraft, the trackless transfer tractor's "dual-drive" advantages are fully utilized:
Precise Fine-tuning: First, tractor uses a high-performance polyurethane wheel system for precise fine-tuning, accurately driving to the aircraft's towing point for docking.
Efficient Towing: Once in position, a hydraulic lifting device retracts the powered wheel system, switching to the lower steering wheel system for operation, activating the external towing, powerless mode for propulsion.
