4 Tons Lifting Rail Transfer Cart for Heavy Steel

Production Challenge
A heavy machinery manufacturing workshop primarily handles the cutting and welding of large steel plates. Due to the large dimensions and heavy weight of the workpieces, traditional forklifts are unable to operate in narrow workstations. Additionally, long-term operation is constrained by power supply lines, and frequent charging leads to low efficiency.
Solution
Based on the customer's usage requirements and actual working conditions, we designed and produced this customized 4 tons low voltage railway powered rail transfer cart, specifically tailored for harsh environments.
The cart features a box-beam frame for high load-bearing capacity and is equipped with insulated wheels to eliminate the risk of electric leakage in dusty environments.
It is fitted with a scissor lift platform for automatic loading and unloading without manual intervention. Combined with wireless remote control and an intelligent coding control system, the cart can move longitudinally and transversely along the rails, accurately docking at cutting and welding stations to complete the fully automated transfer of large steel plates.

Advantages
High Load Capacity and Precision: The box-beam frame supports a load of up to 6 tons (with a 1.5x safety factor), and the scissor lift platform achieves positioning accuracy of ±3 mm, meeting the requirements for large steel plate alignment.
Environmental Adaptability: The fully sealed electrical system can withstand temperatures up to 60°C. To ensure safety, the rail transfer cart is also equipped with explosion proof casings on core electrical components, further broadening its application scenarios.
Application
After receiving steel plates in the cutting area, the cart uses its scissor lift platform to automatically lift and load them. It then moves longitudinally along the rails to the welding area and precisely stops in front of the workstation via transverse movement.

The entire process is operated via wireless remote control, eliminating the need for an accompanying driver. This makes it suitable for high temperature, narrow, and dusty environments. An LED screen displays real-time load and operational status, facilitating scheduling and management.
This rail transfer cart has completely resolved issues such as difficult heavy-load transport in the workshop, reliance on manual loading and unloading, and power supply limitations, achieving standardized and automated transfer processes.
