Hydraulic lifting AGV for Wood Manufacturing Workshop
Production Challenges
A major wood processing enterprise faced issues with high temperatures and dust in its workshop. Traditional rail mounted transfer vehicles couldn't reach all workstations, forcing reliance on manual forklifts. The heat severely damaged batteries and motors, causing frequent breakdowns and high maintenance costs. Frequent layout changes made laying tracks both expensive and disruptive to other operations.
Solution
Based on customer requirements and working conditions, we designed this 5 tons lithium powered trackless AGV. It features a cast steel frame for durability under heavy loads, a high performance lithium battery for unlimited range and heat resistance, and Mecanum wheels for omnidirectional movement in tight spaces.
Workers can dispatch it via wireless remote to any workstation. The hydraulic platform enables self-loading and unloading, while laser safety sensors and emergency stops ensure operator protection. Real-time status displays keep operations fully visible.

Advantages
Flexible Heavy Load: The Mecanum wheel system eliminates the need for tracks, adapting to complex workshop pathways. The cast steel frame supports a load capacity of 5 tons (with a 1.5x safety factor), meeting the demands of heavy duty timber transport.
Efficient and Safe: The hydraulic platform enables autonomous workpiece loading and unloading, reducing single transfer time to 8 minutes. The emergency stop button combined with laser protection creates a dual-layer safety guarantee.
Environmental Adaptability: The fully sealed battery compartment and high-temperature resistant components ensure reliable, continuous operation in humid environments ranging from 50-70°C, with zero failures.

Application
In the wood processing workshop, this AGV operates seamlessly between drying kilns, cutting areas, and assembly lines. Workers issue commands via remote control or a central control system.
The AGV automatically navigates to the designated location and uses its hydraulic lifting platform to interface with the materials, requiring no manual assistance for loading or unloading. Should an obstacle or personnel approach, the laser "dead man stop" triggers an immediate emergency brake, accompanied by an audible and visual alarm.
This equipment effectively resolves the workshop's challenges related to heavy load transport, operational restrictions, and autonomous loading and unloading. By replacing manual labor and traditional equipment, it reduces labor costs and safety hazards. Perfectly adapted to the complex operational scenario of a wood processing workshop, this AGV facilitates the workshop's transition towards intelligent and efficient operations.
