Production Challenge

A large foundry enterprise faced severe operational difficulties: a 20 meters distance between the mold workshop and the machining shop required the daily transfer of dozens of heavy molds. Traditional battery powered transfer carts needed 2 hours of charging per shift, severely impacting production cycles. Additionally, standard rubber wheels experienced rapid wear in an environment filled with hot iron chips.
Solution

Based on the customer's operational needs and the specific site conditions, we designed this 2 tons Rail Guided Vehicle (RGV) .
The RGV utilizes a mobile cable power supply system combined with fixed cable slots and a drag chain, completely eliminating the constraints of batteries. The vehicle body features a box-girder frame and cast steel wheels, designed to withstand high temperatures and operate reliably in the hot environment. The platform is specially designed with raised brackets evenly distributed on both sides, which perfectly fit the mold's slots, ensuring stability during transport.

Application

After deployment, a fixed path from the stamping area to the welding area was preset using the intelligent coding system, enabling fully automatic mold transfer.
The vehicle is dispatched with a single click via the wireless remote. The laser anti-collision system automatically provides a warning when personnel approach, and the emergency stop button can instantly brake the vehicle in abnormal situations. The cable drag chain power supply design completely resolves the wear issues associated with traditional track power lines, achieving maintenance-free operation.
This solution not only overcomes the handling bottleneck in a high temperature, heavy load environment but also eliminates charging downtime through the cable power supply, achieving truly efficient and environmentally friendly operation.
