75 Tons Battery Operated Rail Transport Cart for Heavy Mold Handling
Production Challenge
The large workpiece transfer issue at a heavy equipment enterprise. Traditional crane lifting is constrained by fixed workstations and limited vertical space, offering only singular transport paths. Flatbed truck transport, on the other hand, relies on manual operation, posing safety risks. Additionally, multi-vehicle coordination presents scheduling difficulties and a high risk of operational interference.
Solution
Based on the customer's specific application environment and the types of workpieces handled, we designed and manufactured this 75 tons battery powered rail transport cart.
The rail transport cart features a box-girder frame and a customized platform, equipped with cast steel wheels for superior load-bearing capacity and wear resistance. Its core advantages lie in pure electric drive with unlimited operational range and precise guidance achieved via lightweight tracks installed on the ground.
The device integrates wireless remote control, audible and visual alarms, and emergency stop buttons, enabling convenient remote operation by a single person. A custom inverted-triangle bracket accommodates irregularly shaped workpieces, while the power display ensures effective management of electricity for continuous operation.

Application
After deployment, the rail transport carts established a "processing-assembly-warehousing" transfer loop.
The operator activates the vehicle via wireless remote control. The inverted-triangle bracket securely cradles the hundred-ton mold, transporting it along the track to interchange areas.
Interlinked audible and visual warning lights and an avoidance system ensure safe vehicle passing. When the battery level falls below a set threshold, the system alerts the operator for timely transfer to the charging area. Single transfer times were significantly reduced, while daily handling frequency increased substantially.
This equipment is suitable for multi-area scenarios in manufacturing plants such as automotive and heavy machinery. It serves as a core component in the intelligent upgrade of production logistics, helping enterprises achieve both cost reduction and efficiency improvement alongside enhanced safety management.
