Auto-Charging Automated Guided Vehicle Drives Efficiency Gains

Recently, a 1.5 tons lithium battery powered trackless Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) designed for a US project was officially put into production, handling pallet handling. This equipment requires no track laying, is not limited by distance, and can be flexibly customized to meet on-site conditions, providing enterprises with an efficient and flexible intelligent logistics solution.

Customized Structure

• This automated guided vehicle measures 1500×1100×500mm. It features an openable inspection cover on the roof for easy inspection of the battery, controller, and wiring harness. Rounded corners reduce dust accumulation, and customized corner lights automatically illuminate when turning, alerting surrounding personnel and improving safety at night or in low-light conditions.
• All four wheels use high-strength polyurethane treads, with multiple sets of free rollers built into each wheel. Independent servo motors precisely control the speed and steering of each wheel, achieving motion vector synthesis.
• The automated guided vehicle integrates three navigation modes: laser navigation, QR code navigation, and magnetic strip navigation. These three modes can be seamlessly switched during operation via commands from a host computer, automatically adapting to the needs of different areas and enhancing on-site adaptability.
• Furthermore, the AGV is equipped with an automatic charging station. When the AGV's battery is low, it automatically returns to its starting point and precisely connects to the charging plate, achieving unmanned recharging.

Multi-directional safety protection

• Laser obstacle avoidance radar: 270° scanning angle, 5 meters detection radius, capable of identifying personnel and obstacles, and also features zoned detection, long-distance deceleration, and close-range stopping.
• Emergency stop and warning: Five emergency stop buttons are distributed around the vehicle, ensuring quick operation from any angle; equipped with audible and visual warning light and a high-brightness LED screen, displaying vehicle speed, battery level, and alarm information in real time.

This 1.5 tons trackless automated guided vehicle effectively solves the pain points of heavy duty transportation in wooden workshops, such as high labor intensity, fixed and inflexible routes, and low space utilization. Its omnidirectional movement, intelligent navigation, multiple safety features, and automatic charging not only ensure continuous and stable operation but also significantly reduce manual intervention, providing reliable support for automated logistics in the workshop.
