Heavy Duty Lifting Rail Transfer Cart for Workpieces Handling
Production Challenges
A machining workshop needs to frequently transfer large stamping dies and metal workpieces weighing up to 10 tons during daily production. Traditional battery powered transfer carts have short ranges, and frequent charging severely impacts production line continuity; during long distance, heavy load transfers, the carts are prone to power attenuation and swaying.
Solution
Based on the workshop's 240 meters span and a maximum single-batch load of 9.2 tons, Newld customized a 10 tons low voltage railway powered lifting rail transfer cart.
The cart body uses a high strength box girder frame, equipped with insulated wheels and a ground control cabinet. Continuous power supply to the rails is achieved through carbon brushes and conductive posts, breaking the limitations of distance and time of use.
Simultaneously, customized stoppers are installed at the four corners of the platform, integrating hydraulic lifting devices. Combined with wireless remote control, wired handle, and PLC control system three-mode operation, it ensures stable and anti-slip operation of heavy load workpieces.
Applications
The lifting rail transfer cart is mainly used for the transfer of workpieces, materials, and large dies within the production workshop.
During operation, workers use a control system to place goods on a customized platform, securing them with bollards, and then operate a transport vehicle to move along a pre-set track to the designated workstation. A hydraulic lifting device can be used to adjust the platform height for easy integration with production lines, equipment, or loading/unloading stations.
In actual operation, operators use a wireless remote control for precise scheduling. Audible and visual warning lights and an emergency stop button ensure safety throughout the process. The cart smoothly transports a 10-ton mold to the designated workstation, and the hydraulic lifting device seamlessly integrates with the production line.
