1.5 Tons Production Line Lifting Trackless AGV for Pallet Carrying
Production Challenges
A large manufacturing company's production workshop features narrow aisles and densely packed materials, making forklift turning difficult and frequently resulting in congestion and scrapes. Pallet jack handling is not only inefficient, but also requires manual pushing and pulling during loading and unloading, leading to high labor intensity for workers, and the fixed tracks cannot adapt to production line adjustments.
Solution
Based on the customer's needs and the actual application environment, we designed and manufactured four 1.5 tons trackless AGVs.
These AGVs are equipped with mecanum wheel eliminating the need for track installation Each AGV is equipped with a lithium battery and a smart charging station, enabling 24/7 operation. Multiple safety features include laser sensor, safety edges, an emergency stop button, and audible and visual warning lights. The hydraulic lifting device allows for autonomous pallet lifting and lowering, with both wired and wireless remote control operation. The PLC control system provides precise positioning, with no distance limitations and the ability to freely plan any path within the workshop.

Advantages
Autonomous loading and unloading: Pallets can be directly lifted from the hydraulic lifting platform without manual intervention.
Trackless and Flexible: The AGV supports omnidirectional movement and can rotate in place in narrow passages, eliminating operational limitations.
Environmentally Friendly and Safe: Zero emissions from lithium batteries, multiple sensors for active obstacle avoidance, and unmanned operation at night.

Application
Multiple transfer nodes are set up between the final assembly workshop and the material warehouse. The AGV, controlled by a PLC, moves pallets between these nodes according to instructions, achieving stable transfer of empty and fully loaded finished product pallets. The hydraulic lifting device precisely matches the workbench height, eliminating the need for manual hooking or assistance throughout the process. When encountering sudden obstacles, a laser sensor triggers deceleration to minimize losses.
This solution overcomes site limitations through its trackless design. Production lines can be adjusted flexibly without downtime or modifications. The AGV's autonomous loading and unloading function replaces high intensity manual labor, optimizing manpower allocation, helping the workshop achieve lean and green production, and improving overall production efficiency and market competitiveness.
