30 Tons Hydraulic Lifting Rail Transfer Cart for Mold Handling
Production Challenge
A large shipbuilding yard faced persistent inefficiencies in transporting oversized hull components. Traditional transport equipment was constrained by fixed tracks, reliance on wired power, and insufficient load capacity. The dependency on cranes combined with manual auxiliary loading not only posed high risks and prolonged operation times but also severely disrupted production schedules.
Solution
Based on the customer's actual operational needs and working environment, we designed and manufactured this 30 tons battery powered rail transfer cart. Centered around the "dual-wheel system" mechanism, it enables autonomous switching across multiple tracks. The cart is equipped with hydraulically synchronized dual lifting platforms, paired with wireless intelligent remote control, allowing precise adaptation to workpieces of varying sizes. The cast steel wheels and box-girder frame ensure stability under heavy loads, while the laser dead man stop and audio-visual warning systems provide comprehensive safety for human-machine collaboration.

Application
During hull block assembly, operators pre-set routes via the LED screen and remotely control the transport vehicle to move a 25 tons steel plate from the storage area through intersecting tracks to the welding station.
The dual platforms synchronize lifting and lowering to ensure stable placement of the workpiece, while the laser collision avoidance system automatically detects obstacles and triggers emergency stops.
Battery levels are monitored in real-time via the display screen. Each transport cycle now takes 40% less time compared to previous methods, all while achieving zero emission operation.
