Production Challenges
In the production and transfer of large molds and high temperature workpieces, traditional handling equipment often faces problems such as insufficient load-bearing capacity, difficulties in workstation docking, and inconvenience in automated loading and unloading.
Especially in high temperature operating areas, ordinary equipment struggles to meet both high temperature adaptability and explosion proof requirements, and a single handling cart cannot simultaneously meet the requirements of multi-workstation transfer and precise docking, impacting production line efficiency.
Solution
Based on the customer's actual working conditions, Newld designed this mother-daughter type electrically powered rail transfer cart unit.
The lower layer is a 20 tons safety sliding contact line powered rail transfer cart, equipped with a safety sliding line, current collector, and a custom turntable. The turntable has running tracks for the upper-level handling cart to travel on.
The upper 15 tons explosion proof battery powered rail transfer cart features an explosion-proof shell design and is equipped with batteries, a hydraulic lifting platform, and dual operation methods (wireless remote control and wired handle). It can dock with the high temperature frame at a high angle, meeting the needs of large mold transfer.
Advantages
Dual-Cart linkage: This product adopts an innovative duplex combination design. The lower cart can be flexibly adjusted and reversed via a turntable, while the upper cart can drive out independently and precisely align with the high-temperature frame using a hydraulic lifting platform. This enables automatic loading and unloading of molds and workpieces, cross-track translation, and seamless multi-station connection.
Multiple Protection Measures: The upper transfer cart is equipped with a specialized explosion-proof shell and explosion-proof battery system. Combined with high-strength cast steel wheels and a customized box-girder high heat resistant frame, it can directly operate in high temperature areas. This solves the pain points of traditional transfer equipment, such as easy component aging, significant safety hazards, and limited operation under extreme conditions like high temperatures and flammable/explosive environments.
Safe Operation: The rail transfer cart supports both wireless remote control and wired handle control, making it easy to use. In large mold transfer scenarios in the workshop, operators can remotely control the movement of the mother and daughter carts, turntable steering, and hydraulic lifting platform lifting to align with workpieces, completing the transfer and alignment with a single button. Equipped with a power display screen, the equipment status can be monitored in real time, allowing a single person to complete the loading, unloading, and transfer of heavy-duty workpieces, reducing the cost of multi-person collaborative operations.
Applications
During the production process, the lower-level rail transfer cart is responsible for carrying and transferring the upper-level equipment, achieving equipment operation connection through a turntable and rail structure; the upper-level explosion-proof rail transfer cart utilizes a hydraulic lifting platform to dock with the high-temperature frame, completing the loading, unloading, and transfer of large molds. Operators can control the equipment via wireless remote control or wired handle, and adjust the platform structure and docking height according to the on-site process.
